Perimenopause often begins in a woman’s 40s, but symptoms can start as early as the mid-30s. Menopause is reached once periods have stopped for 12 consecutive months, with the average age being 51. Hormone levels can fluctuate for years during this transition, and symptoms often begin long before menstruation ends.
Hormone changes during perimenopause and menopause can affect nearly every part of your life—your energy, mood, sleep, weight, focus, intimacy, and sense of self. Many women come to me saying the same thing:
“I don’t feel like myself anymore.”
Helping women reconnect with themselves and feel whole again is one of the most meaningful parts of my work.
I am a Family Nurse Practitioner with additional advanced training in hormone replacement therapy. While HRT is not a one-size-fits-all solution, it is a clinical passion of mine. I love partnering with women through perimenopause and menopause—educating, listening, and creating individualized treatment plans that help them feel steady, strong, and confident in their bodies again.
For years, hormone therapy was surrounded by fear and misinformation. Newer, high-quality research has helped clarify those concerns.
Current evidence shows that hormone replacement therapy is safe and effective for many women when prescribed appropriately and monitored carefully.
We now understand that timing, formulation, and individualized care matter—and when done right, HRT can significantly improve quality of life.
These symptoms are real—and they are often dismissed. You deserve answers.
Your journey starts with a 30-minute one-on-one consultation either in person or via telehealth. During this visit, we’ll take time to review your symptoms, health history, and goals.
We’ll also review any prior hormone labs you may already have and discuss whether additional testing would be helpful.
If labs are indicated, I order evidence-based hormone testing tailored to you. Common labs may include:
Sensitive Estradiol
Progesterone (serum)
Total Testosterone, LC/MS
Sex Hormone–Binding Globulin (SHBG)
FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone)
LH (Luteinizing Hormone)
Prolactan
TSH with reflex to Free T4
Not everyone needs every lab — testing is individualized based on symptoms, age, and clinical context. You may use insurance for this or ask about a cash option with the lab.
Once results are available, we’ll review all of your information together and discuss whether hormone therapy may benefit you. Treatment plans are never one-size-fits-all and may include:
Estrogen (patches, pills, vaginal ring)
Progesterone (pills)
Testosterone (creams)
Vaginal estrogen (creams)
Vaginal DHEA (creams
My goal is to help you feel steady, strong, and confident in your body again — using the safest and most appropriate options for you.
I bill clinic-accepted insurance plans for visits and lab work when applicable. This includes Medicare, Premera and Regence along with a few others.
For patients who are uninsured or whose insurance is not accepted, the self-pay price is $150 for the consultation and each follow up.
Most hormone medications are well covered by insurance, which helps keep treatment affordable. If not covered, there are many coupons to make it very affordable.
Follow-up visits are typically scheduled within 2–3 months after starting therapy to assess how you’re feeling and make any adjustments.
After stabilization, check-ins are often done every 6 months, or sooner if needed.
You’re never “on your own” — ongoing communication and support are always available.
This program is designed to be simple, personalized, and supportive. Whether you’re just beginning to explore hormone therapy or ready to move forward, we’ll take it step by step — together.
